Peter Dicks was a founder and director of Abingworth plc which between 1973 and 1992 specialised in making venture capital investments in the USA and the UK.

He is currently a director of a number of quoted investment trusts including Standard MicroSystems Inc., (a US NASDAQ quoted company) Graphite Enterprise Trust plc, Polar Capital Technology Trust plc and a number of other companies.
