Paul Burniston
Paul Burniston is Director Corporate Operations and as such responsible for strategic review, decision evaluation, stability and robustness of operations. His immediate responsibilities include determining the strategic developments required to deliver against the investment case of the recently acquired Ample financial website business, as well as operational management of the business with full P&L accountability.
Paul's most recent role was at AMP as Manager of Corporate Strategy and M&A. There he project-managed the UK due diligence for the de-merger of AMP / HHG as well as managing other sell side activities in a number of transactions. Prior to this role Paul was Manager of European Business Development where he developed a clear, focused and robust strategy for AMP's entry into Europe and then managed the acquisition of an Italian bank / asset manager. Before Europe Paul worked on the set-up of Ample from early concept stage and had ownership of the strategy, business case and business set-up and then led the acquisition of interactive investor plc (iii.co.uk). Paul spent ten years in management consultancy prior to AMP initially at a business re-engineering boutique consultancy, OASiS, and then later at Ernst & Young. He led many business critical change programmes at clients such as Zurich Re, UBS Phillips & Drew, Reuters, Birmingham Midshires Building Society and BP.
