Board Members

  • Tomás Carruthers is a proven entrepreneur in market data, electronic trading and related technologies. In 1994 he was the first to be licensed by the London Stock Exchange to publish share price data on the internet; in 1995, he had the first licence from LIFFE to publish traded options prices on the internet.

  • John Gunn, 68, is a leading London businessman. He studied at the University of Nottingham where he received a BA (Hons) in German and an Honorary Doctorate.

  • Non-executive Director and member of the remuneration and audit committees. Mark Horrocks was portfolio manager with Guardian Asset Management from 1984 to 1997, and since then has remained within the investment community. He is currently a director of Ghaliston Limited, the fund management company with the contract to manage the quoted investment trust, Intrinsic Value plc, and is Non-executive director of Touch plc, SRS Technology plc and Gourmet Holdings plc.

  • Non Executive DirectorNicholas Brigstocke is a non-executive director of the Company. Between 1998 and 2001, he was Chairman of UK Equity Capital Markets at Credit Suisse First Boston ("CSFB") in London following CSFB's acquisition of Barclays de Zoete Wedd ("BZW"), where he was Chairman and Managing Director of UK Corporate Broking. Prior to that he was head of the institutional equity sales team and a member of the equity management committee at BZW. He is also a non-executive director of Turbo Genset Inc., Azure Dynamics Inc., Bridgewell Group Limited and DDD Group PLC.

  • Peter Dicks was a founder and director of Abingworth plc which between 1973 and 1992 specialised in making venture capital investments in the USA and the UK.

Executive Management

  • Jeremy King oversees the development of the groups media propositions and leads the editorial and commercial sales functions. His wide ranging experience of financial publishing and of developing commercially successful products has enabled the group to quickly embrace new commercial advertising formats and enhance its product range.

  • Paul Burniston is Director Corporate Operations and as such responsible for strategic review, decision evaluation, stability and robustness of operations. His immediate responsibilities include determining the strategic developments required to deliver against the investment case of the recently acquired Ample financial website business, as well as operational management of the business with full P&L accountability.

  • Tim joined Interactive Investor in 1995 having previously worked on a number of early internet initiatives for organisations including the British Chambers of Commerce and NTL.

    Tim's roles at the company have included running the intermediary channel, 'ifa.co.uk' and also heading up an international office in Cape Town for three years where he formed a partnership with Standard Chartered Merchant Bank to create a share dealing platform for the local market.
