The iiTV app, launched on 29 September alongside the new online TV channel (www.iii.co.uk/tv), has already been downloaded more than 4,000 times, with over 10,000 video views, and is ranked in the top ten financial iphone / ipad app downloads.

The app from Interactive Investor, the UK’s leading financial services website, delivers up-to-the-minute entertaining and informative financial video content from across the City and personal finance sectors.

“Our users are busy professionals so this app is another way for them to access and stay informed with our TV content”, says Chief Technology Officer Tim Huckle. “Office firewalls have been an issue for us in the past but mobile technology allows us to provide this service to people on the go.”

Users who download the iiTV app will be able to access all of the video content from Interactive Investor TV channels including: iBall – a satirical take on the City, iLight – spotlighting company heads and leading City figures, i2i – in-depth interviews, Take Two – bite-sized opinion from across the City, Moneywise – practical personal finance information and advice and Money Observer – interviews with leading fund managers.

“Video has always been a priority for us,” continues Huckle. “We led the way with the introduction of streamed video content four years ago, now we’re ahead of the game again by making it mobile.
